NYMEX Friday Wrap: Crude, gasoline close week with gains; nat gas softens
HOUSTON, August 24, 2018 (PCW) — October NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.89 at $68.72/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.13/bbl at $75.86/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread widened to $7.14/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 4.7 cents at $2.917/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $2.0779/gal, up 1.87 cpg.
September gasoline differentials were mixed versus Thursday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was stronger at 9.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was up at 3.75 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was higher at 3.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 10.00 over the screen.
RBOB was softer at 9.00 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $13.53 bbl, $5.76/bblunder the screen. – John Troland
