US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise for first time in four weeks
HOUSTON, September 26, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased 15,000 barrels (0.8%) to 1.802 million barrels for the week ending September 21, the EIA said today. The small increase follows a sharp drop of 1.02 million barrels in the prior week that some market observers were viewing as a data correction. Spot propylene prices have been rangebound, despite the drop in reported inventories. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization fell for the second straight week, down 3.2 percentage points at 93.3%. -- David Barry
