US nonfuel use propylene supplies climb for second week
HOUSTON, October 3, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased 328,000 barrels to 2.13 million barrels for the week ending September 28, the EIA said today. It was the second consecutive inventory build, and the ninth weekly build in the past twelve weeks. However, inventories are still 702,000 barrels lower over the past four weeks because of a 1.02 million barrel drop two weeks ago. There were reports that the sharp drop was largely the result of a change in the data set, rather than an actual inventory trend. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization was up 0.7 percentage point at 94% last week. -- David Barry
