NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Oil drops below $70 for first time in a month

HOUSTON, October 17, 2018 (PCW) — November NYMEX crude futures settled down $2.17 at $69.75/bbl. It was the first close below $70 since Sept. 17. December Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $1.59 at $79.90 bbl. The December Brent/WTI spread widened to $10.20 bbl favoring Brent.

Prompt natural gas futures were up 8.1 cents at $3.320 mmBtu. November NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.9187 gal, down 5.86 cpg.

November gasoline differentials were steady to lower versus Tuesday’s level.

The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $11.23 bbl, $5.10 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
