US nonfuel use propylene supplies surge for second week
HOUSTON, October 24, 2018 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories showed a large build for the second straight week, rising 387,000 barrels (16.1%) to 2.791 million barrels for the week ended October 19, the EIA said today. Inventories have now recovered to levels seen prior to a sharp 1.02 million barrel one-week drop in early September. Propylene stocks have risen in eight of the past twelve weeks and now stand 73,000 barrels (2.7%) above the 52-week average.
Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization fell 1 percentage point to 95.9% last week. -- David Barry
