Enterprise announces new Mont Belvieu fractionator
HOUSTON, October 31, 2018 (PCW) -- Enterprise Products Partners today announced plans to build another 150,000 bpd NGL fractionator at its Mont Belvieu, TX complex to meet growing US Gulf Coast petrochemical and export demand for US NGLs.
The new unit is expected online in 2Q 2020 and will bring Enterprise's fractionation capacity in the Mont Belvieu area to 1 million bpd.
Another 150,000 bpd Mont Belvieu fractionator is already under construction and scheduled for completion in 1Q 2020.
Both projects are supported by long-term, fee-based contracts.
The company started up its ninth Mont Belvieu fractionator in May 2018, and that unit fractionated 93,000 bpd of NGLs in 3Q 2018.
Further upstream, Enterprise said it has begun construction of the Mentone natural gas processing plant in Loving County, TX, which is expected to produce more then 40,000 bpd of NGLs when it comes online in 1Q 2020.
It also started up the second of three trains at its Orla natural gas processing complex in Reeves County, TX.
The Mentone plant will be connected with Enterprise's NGL pipeline network, including Shin Oak pipeline scheduled for completion in 2Q 2019. -- David Barry
