Energy Transfer plans seventh Mont Belvieu fractionator
HOUSTON, November 7, 2018 (PCW) -- Energy Transfer subsidiary Lone Star NGL today announced plans to build a seventh NGL fractionator at Mont Belvieu, TX that could start up as early as 1Q 2020.
The 150,000 bpd fractionator is fully subscribed with multiple long-term contracts.
Lone Star also said its sixth Mont Belvieu fractionator (Frac VI) is on track to start up ahead of schedule in 1Q 2019. The 150,000 bpd unit is also fully contracted with long-term commitments.
The completion of Frac VI and VII will bring Lone Star's total Mont Belvieu fractionation capacity to over 900,000 bpd.
On the pipeline side of the business, Lone Star announced that it will expand the Lone Star Express Pipeline by adding a 24-inch, 352-mile pipeline from Lone Star's system near Wink, TX to the existing Lone Star Express 30-inch pipeline south of Fort Worth, TX. The new pipeline will provide transportation for NGLs from the Delaware and Permian basins. -- David Barry
