NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Nat gas plunges 27 cents, oil also drops

HOUSTON, December 12, 2018 (PCW) — January NYMEX crude futures settled down $0.50 per barrel at $51.15 bbl. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.05 at $60.15 bbl. The February Brent/WTI spread widened at $8.79 bbl favoring Brent.

Prompt natural gas futures were down 27.1 cents at $4.136 mmBtu. January NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4204 gal, down 1.94 cpg.

December gasoline differentials were mixed versus Tuesday’s level.

The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $8.16 bbl, $6.37 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
