Sustained' LLDPE production to begin at new Lake Charles plant
HOUSTON, December 13, 2018 (PCW) -- Chemical giant Sasol will begin "sustained production of on-spec product" at its new LLDPE plant in Lake Charles, LA, later this month, Russell Johnson, the company's spokesman, told PCW on Thursday. A more specific date was unavailable.
The LLDPE unit is "mechanically complete, and commissioning activities are underway," he said. Combined capacity of the new plant and an LDPE plant will be 900,000 mt/year, depending on product slate.
