NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Oil rises above $52 as gas drops

HOUSTON, December 13, 2018 (PCW) — January NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.43 per barrel at $52.58/bbl. February Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.25 at $61.45 bbl. The February Brent/WTI spread narrowed at $8.62 bbl favoring Brent.

Prompt natural gas futures were down 1.2 cents at $4.124 mmBtu. January NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4782 gal, up 5.78 cpg.

December gasoline differentials were lower versus Wednesday’s level.

The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $8.44 bbl, $6.64 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
