Florida municipality offers 12 truckloads PET curbside bales for January
HOUSTON, December 17, 2018 (PCW) -- The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, FL is offering 12 truckloads (480,000-504,000 lbs) of clear and green PET from curbside collection in bales for its January 2019 bid offering sale, the SWA announced on Monday.
Bids are due by 2 pm ET on Dec 27.
Its previous PET bale sale for Dec went to Michigan recycling giant Clean Tech Inc/TABB at 17.501 cpp. Terms are FOB SWA facility.
Curbside PET bales are currently trading at 17-18 cpp FOB locations east of the Rockies.
The SWA for Jan is also offering four truckloads each of curbside HDPE natural, HDPE mixed colors and mixed numbers 1-7 plastic scrap, all in bales. It is also offering a single truckload of large and oversized plastic scrap, including rigid and injection units.
SWA's bale sales are used as price markers for markets east of the Rockies. -- Xavier A Cronin
