NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Oil rises more than $1, nat gas edges higher
HOUSTON, January 2, 2018 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.13 at $46.54 bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.11 at $54.91 bbl. The March Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $8.05 bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were up 1.8 cents at $2.958 mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.3256 gal, up 2.35 cpg.
January gasoline differentials were higher versus Monday’s level.
A 4 CBOB 87 regular was higher at 8.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was up at 8.00 cpg under the screen.
D4 CBOB 93 premium was higher at 1.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 93 was up 1.50 under the screen.
RBOB was higher at 6.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $8.13 bbl, $6.26 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
