NYMEX Monday Wrap: Oil drops, nat gas surges 49 cents

HOUSTON, January 14, 2018 (PCW) — February NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.08 at $50.51/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $1.49 at $58.99 bbl. The March Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $8.19 bbl favoring Brent.

Prompt natural gas futures were up 49.2 cents at $3.591 mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.3638 gal, down 3.69 cpg.

January gasoline differentials were higher versus Friday’s level.

The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $7.65 bbl, $5.96 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
