NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Oil slips, nat gas drops 6 cents

HOUSTON, January 23, 2018 (PCW) — March NYMEX crude futures settled down 0.39 at $52.62/bbl. March Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.36 at $61.14 bbl. The March Brent/WTI spread widened to $8.52 bbl favoring Brent.

Prompt natural gas futures were down 6.0 cents at $2.980 mmBtu. February NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.3857 gal, down 1.58 cpg.

January gasoline differentials were mixed versus Tuesday’s level.

The 3-2-1 crack spread in the Gulf Coast was $8.69 bbl, $4.73 /bbl under the screen. – John Troland
