US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise to record
HOUSTON, January 24, 2019 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories reached a record high last week, rising 238,000 barrels (4.4%) to 5.691 million barrels, the EIA said today. It was the sixth consecutive weekly inventory build and the tenth uptick in the past twelve weeks. Propylene stocks are now 2.492 million barrels (78%) above their 52-week average. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization fell 2.1 percentage points to 92.1%, but remained above the 5-year average for this time of year. -- David Barry
