US nonfuel use propylene supplies climb to new record
HOUSTON, February 21, 2019 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories established a new record high last for the second consecutive week, the EIA said today. Inventories grew by 324,000 barrels (5.3%) to 6.459 million barrels. It was the tenth weekly build in the past twelve weeks, and inventories now stand 3.033 million barrels (88.5%) above the 52-week average of 3.426 million barrels.
Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization fell 0.7 percentage point to 87.8%, which is slightly above the five-year seasonal average of 87.3%. -- David Barry
