US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise to record for third straight week
HOUSTON, February 27, 2019 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories were up to a new record high for the third consecutive week, the EIA said today. Propylene inventories climbed 163,000 barrels (2.5%) to 6.622 million barrels last week, the tenth inventory build in the past twelve weeks. Inventories now stand 3.132 million barrels (90%) above the 52-week average of 3.490 million barrels.
Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization last week rose 1.3 percentage points to 89.1%, above the five-year seasonal average of 86.8%. -- David Barry
