NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude extends gains; WTI settles above $40/bbl
Houston, March 17, 2016 (PCW) —- April NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.74/bbl to $40.20/bbl. May Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.29/bbl to $41.52/bbl.
The May Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $0.14/bbl favoring WTI. Prompt natural gas futures were up 6.8 cents at $1.936/mmBtu. April NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4383/gal, up 2 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials ended weaker versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 21.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 21.75 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium fell to 1.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 1.75 cpg under the screen.
RBOB was down at 9.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.06/bbl, $6.58/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
