Enterprise delays startup of PDH unit to 2Q 2017: SEC filing
HOUSTON, March 2, 2016 (PCW) -- Enterprise Products Partners is delaying the startup of its PDH unit at Mont Belvieu to 2Q 2017 from the end of this year, according to an SEC filing made by the company late Monday.
Enterprise announced the planned 1.65 billion lb/yr plant in mid-2012. The plant is expected to consume 35,000 b/d of propane. Commercial operations were expected to begin in 3Q 2015.
According to the SEC filing, Enterprise stated that this February, its construction contractor provided it with “new estimates with respect to the cost of the project and the schedule to complete construction, begin commissioning activities and begin commercial operations.”
As such, Enterprise now expects the facility to be completed in the first quarter of 2017 with commercial operations starting in 2Q 2017. – Samantha Hartke
