NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline drop; nat gas sees slight uptick
HOUSTON, March 2, 2017 (PCW) — April NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.22/bbl to $52.61/bbl. May Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $1.23/bbl to $55.12/bbl.
The May Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $2.05/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 0.5 cents at $2.804/mmBtu. April NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6433/gal, down 3.47 cpg.
April gasoline differentials were mostly unchanged versus Wednesday’s levels.
A3 CBOB 87 regular was steady at 18.25 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was unchanged at 18.00 cpg under the screen.
D3 CBOB 93 premium was firm at 1.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 93 was unchanged at 0.75 cpg under the screen.
RBOB was stronger at 15.50 cpg under the screen.
he 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $8.80/bbl, $6.71/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
