US nonfuel use propylene supplies drop for tenth straight week

Houston, March 8, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell 142,000 bbls (5.7%) to 2.371 million bbls, the Energy Department reported today. Inventories have been declining since late December, but the latest drop was the smallest in six weeks, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization increased 0.8 percentage point to 88.8%, after bottoming out in mid-February. -- David Barry
