January NGL exports down 13.3% from prior month; butane plummets: EIA data
HOUSTON, March 31, 2017 (PCW) -– Natural gas liquids exports fell 1.471 million barrels to 43.449 million barrels (1.4 million b/d) in January compared to December, according to EIA data released Friday.
Propane/propylene exports fell 338,000 barrels in January to 32.323 million barrels (1.04 million b/d). Ethane/ethylene exports was down 90,000 barrels month-on-month to 4.186 million barrels (135,032 b/d) in January.
Other NGLs’ export data is as follows:
· Butane/butylene: 1.428 million barrels (46,065 b/d), down 1.637 million barrels from December;
· Isobutane/isobutylene: down 54,000 barrels from December to 115,000 barrels (3,710 b/d);
· Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 5.397 million barrels (174,097 b/d), a 648,000 barrel increase.
