Waste Management takes PET scrap at 10.86 cpp in Florida bale sale
HOUSTON, April 29, 2016 (PCW) -- Recycling giant Waste Management was the winner bidder for 10-12 truckloads of post-consumer clear and green PET scrap bottles and containers in a closely watched monthly plastic scrap bale sale in Florida.
The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Florida, said it sold the PET scrap to Waste Management at 10.86 cpp. Terms are FOB SWA facility, May pickup. SWA’s April PET bales were sold at 10.52 cpp for five truckloads to OHRA Inc and 10.36 cpp for 10 truckloads to Waste Management.
SWA also sold the following plastic scrap bales: four truckloads of HDPE pigmented (mixed-colors) to Plastic Revolutions at 24.11 cpp; two truckloads of HDPE natural (dairy) at 37.1 cpp to Carolina Fibre Corp; two truckloads of numbers 1-7 bottles and containers to M&L Plastics at 4.26 cpp; and a single truckload of rigid numbers 1-7 large/oversized plastic scrap to SARG Recycling at 6.15 cpp. -- Xavier A.
