NGL production down 5.7% month-on-month in February: EIA data
HOUSTON, April 29, 2016 (PCW) -– Natural gas liquids production fell about 5.86 million barrels to 96.538 million barrels in February from January, according to EIA data released Friday.
Propane/propylene production bested that of ethane/ethylene for the first time since October 2015.
Propane/propylene production came in at 33.311 million barrels in February, down 1.618 million barrels from January. Ethane/ethylene production was at 33.3 million barrels in February, down 2.635 million barrels from January.
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
Butane/butylene: 9.463 million barrels, down 193,000 barrels from January
Isobutane/isobutylene: 8.752 million barrels, a decrease of 802,000 barrels
Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 11.708 million barrels, a 615,000 barrel decrease
