California PET bale prices up in Long Beach, down in Oakland

HOUSTON, April 12, 2016 (PCW)-- PET scrap bale prices were up in Southern California and lower in Oakland in a state bid offering sale done Tuesday.

Grade A bales FOB Long Beach were done at 15 cpp, up 0.09 cpp from a week ago, and Grade B bales FOB Long Beach at 11.16 cpp, up 0.25 cpp.

Grade A bales were done at 14.5 cpp FOB Oakland, down 0.21 cpp, and Grade B FOB Oakland at 11.01 cpp, down 0.25 cpp.

Grade A bales are comprised of PET bottles and containers from Golden State redemption centers and typically have a PET yield of 94% or higher. Grade B bales are from curbside collection of PET bottles and containers and other sources. Grade B bales from California are often exported. ---Xavier A Cronin
