NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Oil closes above $42 a barrel for 2016 high
Houston, April 12, 2016 (PCW) -— May NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.81/BBL, to $42.17. June Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.93 to $44.72. It was the highest close since November 11, 2015.
The June Brent/WTI spread widened to $1.22/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 9.2 cents at $2.004/mmBtu.
May NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.5343 pg, up 2.66 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were lower versus Monday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 20.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 13.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 4.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 decreased to 4.50 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 14.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.68/bbl, $5.97/bbl under the screen. -- John Troland.
