US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise for fifth straight week

Houston, April 13, 2016 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased 230,000 bbls (6.2%) to 3.918 million bbls, the Energy Department reported today. It was the fifth consecutive weekly build and the third largest inventory build of the past 52 weeks, including last week's 405,000 bbls increase, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Propylene stocks are now at their highest level since Oct 2015. Meanwhile, Gulf Coast refinery utilization slipped 1.9 percentage points to 93.2%. -- David Barry
