NYMEX Monday Wrap: Oil drops below $40, natgas rises
Houston, April 18, 2016 (PCW) -- May NYMEX crude futures settled down 58 cents at $39.78/bbl. June Brent at the close of the NYMEX was down 11 cents at $42.89/bbl. The June Brent/WTI spread widened to $1.70/bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were up 3.8 cents at $1.94/mmBtu. May NYMEX RBOB futures fell 2.47 cpg to 143.65 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were mixed.
A2 CBOB 87 was lower at 21.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was steady at 14.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 was up at 1.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was up at 1.75 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 16.75 under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.58/bbl, $6.22 under the screen. -- John Troland
