NGL production down 2.1% month-on-month in January: EIA data
HOUSTON, April 4, 2016 (PCW) -– Natural gas liquids production fell about 2.23 million barrels to 102.401 million barrels in January from December, according to EIA data released Monday.
Ethane/ethylene production continued to outpace that of propane/propylene. Ethane/ethylene production was 35.939 million barrels in January, down 1.567 million barrels from December. Propane/propylene production came in at 34.929 million barrels in January, down 214,000 barrels from December.
Other NGLs’ production data is as follows:
Butane/butylene: 9.656 million barrels, down 79,000 barrels from December
Isobutane/isobutylene: 9.554 million barrels, a decrease of 25,000 barrels
Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 12.323 million barrels, a 343,000 barrel decrease.
