US nonfuel use propylene supplies gain for second week

HOUSTON, April 26, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased by 160,000 bbls   (6.3%) to 2.683 million bbls for the week ending April 21, the Energy Department reported today. It was the fifth inventory build in the past ten weeks, and the largest weekly gain since December 2016, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Inventories are still 599,000 bbls below the 52-week average of 3.282 million bbls. US Gulf refinery utilization was up 1.2 percentage points at 94.6%, the highest throughput since early January.-- David Barry
