February NGL exports fall 10.5% from prior month; propane cargoes crater: EIA data
HOUSTON, April 28, 2017 (PCW) -– Natural gas liquids exports fell 4.579 million barrels to 38.87 million barrels (1.39 million b/d) in February compared to January, according to EIA data released Friday.
Propane/propylene exports fell a whopping 6.33 million barrels in February to 25.993 million barrels (928,321 b/d). Ethane/ethylene exports were down 406,000 barrels month-on-month to 3.78 million barrels (135,000 b/d) in February.
Other NGLs’ export data is as follows:
· Butane/butylene: 2.655 million barrels (94,821 b/d), up 1.227 million barrels from January;
· Isobutane/isobutylene: up 85,000 barrels from January to 200,000 barrels (7,143 b/d);
· Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 6.242 million barrels (222,929 b/d), an 845,000 barrel increase.
