NYMEX Friday Wrap: Crude closes week with gains; natgas perks up
Houston, May 6, 2016 (PCW) -— June NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.34/bbl, to $44.66/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.50/bbl to $45.36/bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread widened to $0.31/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 2.5 cents at $2.101/mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4962/gal, up 0.48 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were mostly weaker versus Thursday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 18.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 12 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was higher at 5.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was softer at 7.75 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 13.75 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $10.60/bbl, $5.36/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
