NYMEX Monday Wrap: Crude opens week with gains; natgas plummets
HOUSTON, May 16, 2016 (PCW) —- June NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.51/bbl to $47.72/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.12/bbl to $48.98/bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $0.56/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 6.7 cents at $2.029/mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6063/gal, up 1.81 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were steady to higher versus Friday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was higher at 17.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was steady at 14.50 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was higher at 1.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was higher at 5.50 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was steady at 14.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.08/bbl, $5.34/bbl under the screen. –- John Troland
