NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Crude sees slight gains; natgas falls below $2/mmBtu
Houston, May 24, 2016 (PCW) —- July NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.54/bbl to $48.62/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.35/bbl to $48.64/bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $0.02/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 7.5 cents at $1.980/mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6544/gal, up 0.88 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were steady to higher versus Monday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was steady at 16.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was flat at 12 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 0.25 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 93 was higher at 4.25 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was up at 10.50 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $13.97/bbl, $5.13/bbl under the screen. -– John Troland
