NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Crude opens week with slight loss; natgas gains
HOUSTON, May 31, 2016 (PCW) —- July NYMEX crude futures settled down $0.23/bbl to $49.10/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.23/bbl to $49.54/bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread widened to $0.44/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 11.9 cents at $2.288/mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6149/gal, down 1.70 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were mixed versus Friday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was stronger at 11.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was steady at 8.00 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was softer at 7.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was lower at 11.50 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was weaker at 4.00 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $13.91/bbl, $3.72/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
