NYMEX Monday Wrap: Crude, gasoline open week with gains; nat gas plummets
HOUSTON, May 8, 2017 (PCW) — June NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.21/bbl to $46.43/bbl. July Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.15/bbl at $49.26/bbl.
The July Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $2.42/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 9.4 cents at $3.172/mmBtu. June NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.5178/gal, up 1.32 cpg.
June gasoline differentials were mixed versus Friday’s levels.
2 CBOB 87 regular was softer at 12.75 cpg under the screen.
BOB 87 was up at 6.25 cpg under the screen.
2 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 7.00 cpg over the screen.
BOB 93 was stronger at 13.50 cpg over the screen.
BOB was steady at 2.50 cpg under the screen.
he 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.26/bbl, $5.19/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
