US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise for fourth straight week

HOUSTON, May 10, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased last week by 182,000 bbls (6.1%) to 3.147 million bbls, the Energy Department reported today. It was the fourth consecutive inventory build, bringing propylene inventories to their highest level since early February, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Inventories are up 765,000 bbls over the past four weeks. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization last week slipped 1.1 percentage point to 93.4%. -- David Barry
