Florida municipality offers 420,000 lbs PET curbside bales

HOUSTON, May 23, 2017 (PCW) -- The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Florida is offering 10 truckloads (420,000 lbs) of green and clear PET from curbside collection for its June bid offering, the SWA announced Tuesday. Bids are due by 2 pm EDT on May 31; terms are FOB SWA facility June pickup.

SWA's sales of bales are used as price markers in Southeast and Midwest markets. In April it sold 10 truckloads to GAMA USA at 14.3 cpp for May pickup.

The SWA is also offering three truckloads of curbside HDPE natural (dairy) bales; four truckloads of mixed colors curbside bales; three truckloads of curbside HDPE unsorted numbers 1-7 plastic scrap bales, including rigid and injection units; and a single truckload of curbside numbers 1-7 large and oversized plastic bales, including rigid and injection units. -- Xavier A.
