March NGL exports climb 22.2%; record butane cargoes seen: EIA data
HOUSTON, May 31, 2017 (PCW) – Natural gas liquids exports rose 8.616 million barrels to 47.486 million barrels (1.53 million b/d) in March compared to February, the highest levels seen since EIA began reporting the data.
Propane/propylene exports rose 5.312 million barrels in March to 31.305 million barrels (1.01 million b/d). Ethane/ethylene exports were up 1.517 million barrels month-on-month to 5.297 million barrels (170,871 b/d) in March. Butane exports hit a high-water mark of 5.588 million barrels (180,258 b/d), up 2.933 million barrels from February.
Other NGLs’ export data is as follows:
· Isobutane/isobutylene: down 57,000 barrels from February to 143,000 barrels (4,613 b/d);
· Pentanes plus (natural gasoline): 5.153 million barrels (166,226 b/d), a 1.089 million barrel decrease.
