NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Crude rises to settle above $50/bbl; gasoline bucks trend
HOUSTON, June 7, 2016 (PCW) -— July NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.67/bbl to $50.36/bbl. August Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.86/bbl to $51.40/bbl.
The August Brent/WTI spread widened to $0.048/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 0.8 cents at $2.474/mmBtu. July NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.5871/gal, down 0.16 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were weaker versus Monday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 14.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 10.75 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was softer at 4.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was weaker at 7.50 cpg over the screen.
RBOB fell to 3.00 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.33/bbl, $4.33/bbl under the screen. -– John Troland
