US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise first time in four weeks

HOUSTON, June 14, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories rose by 5,000 bbls last week to 2.799 million bbls, the first gain in the past four weeks, the Energy Department reported today. Propylene inventories have split between gains and losses for the past ten weeks, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Supplies are 16% lower than the levels reported a year earlier. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization last week climbed 0.7 percentage point to 96.4%.
