NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Oil plunges to $45.14, natgas also drops
Houston, July 7, 2016 (PCW) —- August NYMEX crude futures settled down $2.29/BBL, to $45.14. September Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $2.28 to $46.44. The September Brent/WTI spread widened to $0.60/bbl favoring Brent.
Prompt natural gas futures were down 0.9 cents at $2.777/mmBtu. August NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.3631 pg, down 6.98 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were lower versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was lower at 10.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was lower at 6.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 7.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was lower at 12.00 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 2.25 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $9.68/bbl, $3.10/bbl under the screen. –- John Troland.
