INVISTA to stop nylon 66 production at Chattanooga plant
HOUSTON, July 8, 2016 (PCW) –- INVISTA will discontinue nylon 66 production at its Chattanooga, TN, plant, the company told PCW Friday.
Other businesses at the plant, which employs 300 workers, will not be affected. The lost output will be compensated for with “investments” made at INVISTA’s plants in South Carolina and Ontario, Canada, it said.
The nylon 66 phase out will occur during the rest of 2016 into 2017. Details on production capacity were unavailable.
