Florida municipality offering 420,000 lbs curbside PET bales
HOUSTON, July 18, 2017 (PCW) -- The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Florida, is offering 10 truckloads (420,000 lbs) of green and clear PET bottles and containers collected curbside for its August scrap bale bid offering, the SWA announced Tuesday.
The offering closes on Jul 27 at 2 pm EDT. Terms are FOB SWA Palm Beach County facility.
The SWA's monthly sales are used as price markers for PET and HDPE bale markets in the Southeast, Midwest and US Gulf region. For July, it sold 10 truckloads of PET bales to OHRA Inc at 16.02 cpp.
The SWA is also offering curbside bales of: two truckloads, HDPE natural bottles and containers; three truckloads, HDPE pigmented bottles and containers; and two truckloads, unsorted numbers 1-7 plastic bottles and containers, including injection grade units. -- Xavier A. Cronin
