US nonfuel use propylene supplies rise, erasing previous week's draw

HOUSTON, July 19, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories increased by 89,000 bbls (3.2%) to 2.912 million bbls for the week ending July 14, recovering all of the previous week's draws, the Energy Department reported today. It was the fifth inventory build over the past ten weeks, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Propylene stocks were 233,000 bbls (7.4%) below the 52-week average. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization was down 0.7 percentage point at 96%. -- David Barry
