NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, gasoline jump; nat gas slips
HOUSTON, August 11, 2016 (PCW) — September NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.78/bbl to $43.49/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $2.01/bbl to $46.04/bbl.
The September Brent/WTI spread widened to $1.81/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 1 cent at $2.551/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.3617/gal, up 6.03 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were steady to weaker versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was softer at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was down at 0.75 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was steady at 7.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was steady at 13.00 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was weaker at 1.50 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $10.25/bbl, $3.78/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
