NYMEX Monday Wrap: Crude, nat gas, gasoline open week with gains
HOUSTON, August 15, 2016 (PCW) — September NYMEX crude futures settled up $1.25/bbl to $45.74/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $1.44/bbl to $48.31/bbl.
The September Brent/WTI spread widened to $1.88/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 0.4 cents at $2.590/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4007/gal, up 0.92 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were weaker versus Friday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was softer at 4.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was weaker at 1.00 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 6.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 12.25 cpg over the screen.
RBOB fell to parity with the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $9.88/bbl, $3.90/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
