NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Crude, nat gas see mild gains
HOUSTON, August 17, 2016 (PCW) -— September NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.21/bbl to $46.79/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.54/bbl to $49.74/bbl.
The September Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.22/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 0.2 cents at $2.619/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4505/gal, up 2.79 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were stronger versus Tuesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was up at 4.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was stronger at 0.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was higher at 7.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 rose to 11.75 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was higher at 1.00 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $11.15/bbl, $3.52/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
