NYMEX Tuesday Wrap: Crude sees slight gains; nat gas extends strong gains
HOUSTON, August 23, 2016 (PCW) -- October NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.69/bbl to $48.10/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.76/bbl to $49.98/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread widened to $1.88/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 8.2 cents at $2.761/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4988/gal, up 1.46 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were mixed versus Monday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was stronger at 3.75 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was higher at 1.00 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 11.00 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was softer at 13.75 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was up at 2.50 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.17/bbl, $3.17/bbl under the screen. -- John Troland
