US nonfuel use propylene inventories drop for seventh straight week
HOUSTON, August 24, 2016 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell 86,000 bbls (3.8%) to 2.197 million bbls, their seventh consecutive decline, the Energy Department reported today. Inventories are now 701,000 bbls lower than they were four weeks ago, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. This is the lowest reading since October 2014, when stocks bottomed out at 2.183 million bbls. Meanwhile, US Gulf refinery utilization was down 2.4 percentage points at 92.3%.
